ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

FACULTY OF PETROLEUM REFINING AND PETROCHEMISTRY

8 - 10 November 2023 in Ploiești/România

About The Event

It is our pleasure to invite you to participate to the 5th International Colloquium Energy and Environmental Protection during the 8th and 10th of November 2023, at Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiesti, in Ploiesti, Romania.

The refining industry is facing a number of financial, operational, market and environmental challenges. Understanding all these key issues can help refiners better prepare for growth opportunities in the future. Today’s economic crisis is almost unprecedented in severity and probable duration, so refiners have to seek new technical solutions to increase their energetic and economic efficiency, as well as environmental compliance for their products and emissions, or undergo significant reorganization, restructuring or refinancing.

Current conditions offer both opportunities and challenges that should be clearly understood in order to be used for further development of the industry. Scientists and their industrial partners can create the proper creative environment able to stimulate innovation to reach a balance between the use of conventional, renewable and alternative energy, to develop and implement solutions for environmentally friendlier products and processes.

The international colloquium aims to contribute to proposing solutions to the challenges nowadays refineries confront with and provide a forum for discussions and exchanging views with respect to all aspects related to energy, environmental protection and sustainable development.
